Conservatives launch public consultation
Share your views on parking issues across the borough
Basildon Conservatives committed to producing a new parking strategy to identify parking demand and supply across Basildon Borough over the next 20 years.
The Council has now launched a consultation to gain your views around parking ahead of developing a new strategy for the borough.
We are looking to capture views on issues such as the amount of available parking, locations of car parks, cost of parking, and thoughts on the availability of on-street parking including within residential roads.
Your views will help in the development of an off-road and on-road parking strategy that will guide the long-term approach to parking provision across Basildon Borough.
Basildon Conservatives are determined to ensure suitable levels of car and other vehicle parking facilities are available to support our town centre regeneration and enable access to our towns.
To do this effectively, our strategy needs to take into account private as well as public parking provision, public transport, and transport trends and YOUR lived experience will be crucial to informing our plans.
Whether you are a local residents, business or a visitor, we want to hear about your experiences of parking around Basildon.
Our questionnaire contains 30 multiple-choice questions and should take no longer than about 10 minutes to complete. We want to hear about on-street parking near your home, parking in town centres, how easy or difficult you find it to find a space, what the issues are, your views on parking charges, access to disabled parking, electric vehicle charing and anything else YOU want to tell us about.
Please visit https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/basildonparking to complete the survey.
Thank you for taking the time to tell us what you think and share your experiences.
