The Essex County Council Locality Fund now open for nominations
Each county councillor is allocated £10K for worthy causes they can nominate
The Locality Fund is back and open to nominations from Essex County Councillors. Each elected member is allocated £10,000 to spend in their division. Members can nominate projects or make grants of £300 or more to parishes, charities, community associations, or other not for profit organisation, for specific projects that are of benefit to their division. The agreed criteria can be read here.
Basildon Conservatives therefore invite any local groups or organisations to contact us if we can help deliver something of benefit to the community.
There are specific guidelines for the Locality Fund. We cannot fund individuals, only community groups. We also cannot fund anything with ongoing costs, such as rent/utility bills. But any community groups, pop-up cafes, parish councils, residents' associations, youth organisations, etc, are very welcome to get in touch with any ideas they have for projects that need funding.
Any interested group, please contact info@basildonconservatives.com with your location and contact details so that you can be referred to the appropriate county member.
